Purpose:


Tagging in Sprout Social helps you stay organized, track campaigns, and measure performance. By categorizing content and engagement, you can streamline your social strategy and ensure your posts reach the right audience.


Policy:


When scheduling a social media post, a content tag is required. Posts shared organically are automatically tagged in Sprout. The [Property Name] Weekly Social Media Report includes a breakdown of engagement metrics based on content tags, helping you measure what’s working and where to refine your strategy.


Procedure:


Follow these steps to add and manage tags effectively:

      A single post can have multiple tags, but note that Rentable tags are the only manual tags.
  • Add Tags to Your Post
    • When creating a post, click on the “Add Label” option.
    • Select the applicable tag(s) from the list.Resume scheduling your post as usual.
  • Review Tag Performance
    • To better understand how your tagged content is performing, navigate to the Tag Performance Report in Sprout Social. This report provides insights into the effectiveness of your tags, helping you refine your strategy and optimize content creation.
