Flex- Rent Payments

What is Flex?


Flex is a company that offers to pay rent in full for approved residents. Residents are then able to pay Flex back on a two-payment schedule for that month.


Specifics:


If a resident is approved by Flex, Flex will pay the site full rent (including all ledger charges, not just RENT) between the 1st-5th of the month for that person. The site will see no difference in a regular payment verses a payment from Flex. Flex has no contract with properties or with HRA- this means properties are not required to troubleshoot the program. If residents do not pay Flex on time, the site has no required follow-up. Flex will work out non-paybacks directly with residents.


Sites do, however, need to be well-informed of the product to answer questions & market it when necessary. Flex will conduct no marketing other than 1 monthly email to residents (unless otherwise specified for your specific property). Please visit Flex's DropBox link for marketing materials.

Residents can go to getflex.com or download the Flex app in the App Store. Sign-up takes about 3-4 minutes. Once they type their address & find their property, they'll sign in with their Entrata credentials to their portal. Residents will then link a debit or credit card & SSN (SSN is only used for a soft credit check, it is not stored).


Flex requirements:

  • Resident must have their down payment in full in their account
  • Residents must be up-to-date on rent payments with the property (IE no past due rent)
  • Approval based on soft credit check
