What is Rent Plus?
We offer Rent Plus on our conventional properties to help residents improve their credit while living on site. Sites are able to make other income while residents simultaneously improve their credit, a win-win. Rent Plus ONLY reports on time payments to credit bureaus. Late payments do not impact resident's credit. This is an excellent marketing tool for our sites!
Specifics:
Conventional sites are on an opt-in enrollment model with Rent Plus. This means that residents have an option to add the service during application & must be manually enrolled into the Rent Plus portal.

Under the opt-in setup, sites must properly enroll residents who want the service in both Entrata and Rent Plus. Rentable items for this model are necessary. Follow the below steps to properly enroll someone...
Entrata:
- Update lease paperwork if necessary
- Set up the rentable item in Lease Tab > Rentable Items. This should automatically create a scheduled charge associated with the item. If setting up for a future date, remember to move the item in on that date (Dashboard > Residents > Rentable Items).
- Ensure $7 monthly charge (or amount specific to your property) is set up per enrollee as CSCORE-M & tied to the Rentable Item.
Rent Plus (my.rentplus.com):
- All residents will sync nightly from Entrata > Rent Plus, but none are automatically enrolled into Rent Plus.
- On the left Admin tab, select current or future residents based on need. (If you enroll a future resident, it should roll over to current on their move-in date. Please confirm this in the Rent Plus portal.)
- Click on resident > manage > edit resident information. Add DOB & SSN. Sometimes these do not sync from Entrata due to privacy reasons. Rent Plus does have a third party vendor that can find certain DOB & SSNs, but not all. When entering both, hit "Enter" to save.
- Under subscription > available options, click Enroll.
- Make sure you are enrolling the right roommate in Rent Plus! Entrata has no way of deciphering between roommates for charges.
Rental payments are reported to Rent Plus automatically. Sites do not need to send anything. Please understand credit reporting is a month or 2 behind, due to a time lag.
Please remind residents that on-time payments are reported per apartment. For conventional sites, if 1 roommate pays on time, but the other late, the on-time payment won't be reported.
Site audits must be completed of Entrata verses Rent Plus prior to month end to ensure accuracy of reporting, charges, etc. You can do this by comparing the Entrata Resident Charges Report (CSCORE or CSCORE-M charge) versus the Entrata Add On report versus the Admin page of Rent Plus.
