Maintenance Attire

Purpose (Why we do this):

To maintain a high level of professionalism and to easily identify yourself as an employee of the community.

Policy (What you’re supposed to do):

  • Horizon’s Maintenance Teams when on the property and during work hours should always be wearing their property branded polo shirts.
  • Close-toed shoes must always be worn.
  • In warm weather, Maintenance teams may wear shorts of appropriate length (3 fingers above the knee), jeans or khaki pants are always acceptable.
  • In colder weather, Maintenance teams may layer shirts under their polo shirts and may wear property branded jackets over their polos.
  • In rainy weather, the same rules apply as above, with the addition of a poncho, ball cap, or umbrella.

Procedure (HRA Way!):

  1. Maintenance polos are available in the creative portal of the Source. Please ask your Property Manager to submit the order.
  2. Polos that are damaged should be replaced when the uniform budget allows.
  3. New hires are required to have shirts available the first day they start.
