What is Boom?
We utilize Boom at all sites to help residents improve their credit while living on site. When enrolled, resident rental payments are reported to credit bureaus to help build credit. Boom reports to all 3 major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax, & Experian).
Boom portal logins are linked to property emails. Reach out to the Opt team if you need your login information. On this portal, you can see real-time information.
Enrollment Types/Options:
At move-in, residents receive an email from Boom with 1 of the following enrollment model options: Opt-in or opt-out
California properties: Opt-in ($5/person charged to CBOOST)
California properties are on an opt-in model. The email contains a link that is active for 30 days. Residents must click the link & enroll in the service in that time frame. If they do not opt-in, they'll move to an inactive status in Boom.
All other properties: Opt-out ($7/person charged to CBOOST)
All other properties are on an opt-out model. The email contains a link that is active for 7 days. Residents must click the link & unenroll in the service in that time frame. If they do not opt-out, they'll move to an active status in Boom.
To manually enroll someone, log into the Boom portal. Go to the renters tab > search name > click into account > click the pink subscribe button to the right.
To manually unenroll someone, log into the Boom portal. Go to the rent reporting tab > search name > click into account > click edit details in the top right > click unsubscribe in the top right.
Billing:
Charges will not show in Entrata scheduled billing. Boom will import charges on/near the 29th of the month. Anyone who is enrolled on the portal will receive the charge.

All other properties: Opt-out ($7/person charged to CBOOST)
