Matterport Tours

Purpose:


Matterport virtual tours provide an immersive, 360° interactive experience that allows prospective residents to explore your community as if they were physically present. Virtual tours enhance engagement, boost conversion rates, and are available 24/7, allowing potential residents to view your property anytime, increasing the likelihood of capturing leads and converting them into leases.


Policy:


All communities are required to use Matterport for creating 3D virtual tours for each floor plan. The virtual tours must follow the standardized format for naming, uploading, and sharing to ensure consistency across all platforms. 


Summer months are an ideal time to capture tours of high-demand floor plans that may not be available year-round.


Procedure:

  • Requesting a Matterport Account:
    • Submit a HelpDesk ticket to the Marketing Team to request a Matterport account for your community.
  • Setting Up Matterport:
  • Creating & Uploading Tours:
    • Scan each unit and use the following naming format:
      • Name: Property Name – Floor plan Type – Floor plan Name
        • e.g. The Phoenix Orlando – 1x1 – Azalea
      • Multi-Location Name: Property Name - Building Name - Floor Plan Type - Floor Plan Name
        • Live on Hillsborough - 109 Park – 2x2
        • Coug Housing - Coffee House - 3x2
    • Location: Property address
    • Internal Notes: Add floor plan type (e.g., 1x1, 2x2).
  • Notify Marketing:
    • Respond to your initial HelpDesk ticket with the tour links, and Marketing will integrate them into the property’s website.
