Updating Entrata Websites

Purpose (Why we do this):


Websites & marketing specials should always be up to date! When updating websites through Entrata, please be sure to abide by the necessary protocol. Most of this can be accessed in the Setup tab on your Entrata dashboard. 

 

Policy (What you're supposed to do):


Pricing & Availability:

  • Visit Setup > Properties > Select property > Property > Floor Plans & Units > Floor Plans > Bulk Edit in top right. Change pricing & availability as necessary.
  • The "Auto Calc Rent" pulls from Revenue Management. If you'd like to override the rate, uncheck the Auto Calc. Rent box & edit the min/max rent fields. We don't recommend overriding.
  • The Web Visible box will normally be checked. Even with no current availability, a message showing upcoming availability will be visible.
  • Click save & the changes will be visible on your website


Hours:

  • Visit Setup > Properties > Select property > Property > General > Hours & edit as necessary.
  • There is a "By Appointment Only" option for hours. Please use it if that is something your property practices!


Photos:

  • To add or edit photos, visit Setup > Properties > Select property > Marketing > Prospect Portal > Photos & Tours > General. Click "Add Media" with the green + in the top left. Select your property folder & then the folder you'd like to add the photos to. Once in the folder, click Upload Media to This Folder, find the picture on your computer, & click open. Click Use this File. It'll bring you to a media cropper. Crop the image as best you can using the slider on the right. Hit crop. It'll add the cropped picture to your gallery. Any photos in the gallery will be displayed on that page on the prospect portal.
  • To edit the photo name, go back to Setup > Properties > Select property > Marketing > Prospect Portal > Photos & Tours > General. Click to edit the amenity you would like to add a photo to. The Name is what will show on the website. Be SURE to add in the Alt text! It should match the Name text. The Alt Text describes to Google what this portion of your website is (Google cannot see the picture). Click Save Changes to update the website.
  • To add photos to the amenity page, go back to Setup > Properties > Select property > Pricing > Amenities > Property. Select Bulk Edit Media in the top left. Select whether something is an apartment or community amenity along with a description. Click save. Your website will now show a camera icon next to specific amenities on the amenity page, showing the photo you linked it to.
  • To re-order the media, visit Setup > Properties > Select property > Marketing > Prospect Portal > Photos & Tours > General. Click reorder media. Follow the instructions from this article Photos for Website Use.


 

Home Page Paragraph

  • Visit Setup>Websites>Select Property>Nav/Pages>ProspectPortal>Home>Edit
  • From here you are able to edit the Landing Page Heading and the Landing Page Text.
  • Please DO NOT edit apartment search buttons, or landing page buttons
  • Save changes - once saved, audit your website Incognito to review changes.


Misc:

  • There is a way to add disclaimers, directions, & other misc. info to your website. Please submit a Marketing Ticket through the Source.
