Demographics

Purpose (Why we do this):

Demographic data is used to help us understand the characteristics of the people that rent our apartments. Tracking resident demographics can help us focus on marketing to our target customer base.

Policy (What you're supposed to do):

To pull resident demographics, we can utilize the Resident Demographics report in Entrata. Adjusting the filters will allow for a detailed report.

Procedure (HRA Way!):

Demographics including gender, age, occupation, University, graduation year, International, and home country should all be tracked onsite. Knowing our demographics allows us to gear our marketing to our target audience.

Student:

Gender, age, University, graduation year, International, and home county are demographics our student sites should keep tabs on. The Lease Tracker in The Source allows us to track demographics as we approve and record leases. This lets us continuously report demographics that are not able to be pulled via an Entrata report, like international residents/home country. Tracking information like University helps us to know where to target outreach/campus marketing efforts. Graduation year helps us gauge when our residents are likely to move-out.

Residential:

Gender, age, occupation, and non-responsible occupants are all demographics for us to have an understanding of at our residential properties.
