Outreach Marketing

Modified on Mon, 14 Apr at 2:43 PM

Purpose (Why we do this):

To be a Market Leader by advertising our community with local and relevant  businesses/companies/influencers that are interested in our product.

Policy (What you're supposed to do):

Build collaborative relationships with brands that target our communities demographics and primary audience. All partnerships and master contracts should be presented to and approved by your Regional and Executive Team.

Procedure (HRA Way!):

Community Partnerships

When planning on who to partner with, consider the desired outcome of the partnership.  This can include creating brand recognition, sponsorships for community events, advertising current availability, etc. Outreach attempts can be done via social media messaging, emailing, calling, and in-person communication. Partnerships can be one-time events or can last over time.

The partnership should be a mutual agreement- what are we looking to achieve and what can we do for them? This can include,

  • Advertising their business at a sponsored community event to our X number of residents
  • Advertising their product on our social media to our X number of followers
  • Including their product/flyer in our move-in packets
  • Free job postings/flyers in our clubhouse

Some common partnerships are,

  • College or University Sports
  • Greek Organizations
  • Popular Bars/Restaurants
  • Pop Up Events
  • Health/Fitness
  • Boutiques
  • Food/Drinks

Preferred Employer Partnership

This is an exclusive partnership with a local business for them to refer their employees to our community in return for signing at a special/discount. Think about what large businesses are located in your area and where your current residents work to determine options for a Preferred Employer Partnership.

NIL Contracts

NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) Contracts can be a great tool in your market. With a single individual controlling a large social media presence in your market there are many ways to promote your community, lifestyle, events, major deadlines, etc.  NIL Contracts are primarily, but not limited to, completed with athletes. Social media influencers, companies, brand ambassadors can also be signed to such contracts to help promote and market the community.

Some things to look for in potential NIL Contract:

  • Individual aligns with HRA values, morals, and Pledge
  • # of followers
  • Impact on the market
  • Social Media Engagement
  • Buzz around University

If you have an athlete or individual that you are interested in exploring an NIL Contract with, please reach out to training@horizonra.com.
