Approving Time Cards in Paylocity

1.) Navigate to Time & Labor

 

 

2.) Once you are in your Time & Labor dashboard, you will be able to view employees assigned to your employee group, and any outstanding time card corrections/pending time off requests. Before locking time cards, all pending punch corrections, missing punches, and pending time off requests must be resolved for the pay period you are approving. See "How To Clear Time Card Corrections and Pending Time Off Requests" for more information.

 

 

3.) After all time card corrections and pending time off requests have been cleared for your employee group, review each employee's time card for accuracy. To do this, click on "Time Card" ->

 

 

3. Continued) Search for the employee's name -> make sure you are looking at the correct pay period. From there you can review the individual time entries made by the employee for each day of the pay period. From here you can also enter missed time directly onto the time sheet, adjust time entered if needed, etc. 

 

 

4.) After verifying time entered is correct, you will want to review benefit balances and pay adjustments for accuracy. See "Adding Pay Adjustments in Paylocity" for more information. 

 

 

5.) After time sheets have been reviewed for all employees in your employee group and you are ready to submit time cards, you will go to "Time Card Approvals". Double check you are in the correct pay period, and then when ready, select the "Approve" box next to each employee's name, and then "Save". A green banner will pop-up letting you know the submission was successful.

 

That's it! You've successfully approved time cards!
