All Horizon teammates should receive an annual performance review from their direct supervisor to continue to help them focus on their strengths, weaknesses and set performance targets. Horizon is committed to creating Risin' with Horizon stories!
Annual reviews should be completed on or around the teammate's anniversary date.
To create the review:
1. Navigate to Performance -> Dashboard -> Reviews -> Active Reviews.
2. Select the Assign Review button in the top right-hand corner.
3. Select the desired review template. There are three pre-set HRA templates to choose from:
- HRA Annual Performance Review
- HRA Pledge Review
- HRA Quarterly Performance Review
4. Pull any applicable goals into the selected review template. (See SMART Cards/Quarterly Reviews article for instructions on how to create goals).
5. Complete the remaining required sections and then select Next. The employee should always complete their self-review prior to the sit-down conversation.
6. Select the desired employee.
7. Preview and assign.
8. After the employee completes their self-appraisal, you will receive a notification to complete the supervisor appraisal. You are welcome to make these notes ahead of time or take notes during the review conversation. Please keep in mind the employee will be able to see any notes/comments that are made by you on the review.
9. After the conversation has occurred and notes have been entered by both parties, the employee will be asked to review the supervisor notes and sign the appraisal. The supervisor will be prompted to sign the appraisal after the employee has signed.
Completed appraisals can later be viewed/accessed through the Performance dashboard, or the Career tab in the employee's HR & Payroll profile.
