1.) Navigate to Time and Labor
2.) Once you are in your Time & Labor dashboard, you will be able to view employees assigned to your employee group, and any outstanding time card corrections/missing punches/pending time off requests.
3.) Click on Time Card Corrections -> Pending Punch Corrections. These are corrections that employees entered on their end, and either need to be approved or denied by you. To view the specific correction, click on the employee's name next to the submission.
3.) (Continued) The "Review Time Card Request" box will pop-up showing you what the request is for. In this example, the employee originally clocked in for the day at 8AM, but is requesting to change his clock in time to 7:30AM. From here, you will review the request against his time card, and either approve or deny. If you approve the request, the updates will automatically be made to his time card. If you deny the request, no changes will be made.
4.) Once all Pending Punch Corrections are cleared, you will navigate to Missing Punches. Rather than a correction to a punch that was already made, these punches are missing all together.
4.) (Continued) To clear the missing punches, you will click on the name of the employee. This will take you to their time card. Once you are on their time card, you will need to double check you are in the correct pay period. You will then need to manually enter the missing time for this employee (if there was not a corresponding time card correction entered).
It is recommended to clear the pending time card corrections before missing punches as the employee might have already entered a time card correction for these missing punches. If you clear missing punches first, you might be creating additional work for yourself.
5.) Once time card corrections and missing punches have been cleared, the last step is to clear pending time off requests. Navigate to "Pending Time Off Requests", review, and then approve or deny accordingly.
